Tonight , the discussion will focus on developing a project based on students’ interests using The Project Approach, an emergent curriculum approach that is developed in the classroom in 3 stages—Preparation, Investigation, and Presentation. During the Investigation stage, an outside guest is invited to the classroom to serve as a primary-source authority on the topic the students selected. As the project developed, interns would participate in various grade-appropriate ways to demonstrate what they were learning. In addition, the interns will document their learning through still images and video clips at each stage of the project, culminating in a digital storybook that they created using one of 4 free web tools to document and narrate (voiceover) their students’ project.
