The first class session of EDU:510 happened! Wow…what a team to work with!
These graduate students are in the Master of Arts in Education program at Union University and they are well on their way!
We shared, chatted, blackboarded…and weebled! (I love to say that word...Weebly. )What more could one ask for? The students left with PUBLISHED websites, a first for most of them, and assigned tasks to jump into for tonight. Many have posted their first blog and have left comments on the blogs of classmates, already! They are connected and they are on go!
Tonight, we are going to attack Google. We will take a look at some of the classroom possibilities in Google Docs (e.g. document, spreadsheet and presentation) and the collaboration features. The plans are to peek at the STAR Center and make plans for next week's adventure to the STAR Center.
The students are tackling the new PreK-12 Tennessee Curriculum Standards and bridging them to a possible roadtrip. Yikes! This is new territory for most of them. It can be overwhelming! However, they are real troopers!
I am looking forward to the time together tonight … teaching and learning!
Happy 4th of July … and a special thank you to those (there are several in our class) who have served and continue to serve our country … The United States of America!
