The first class session was filled. The graduate students talked about their experiences with technology in the classroom. Laughter was shared as students mentioned Oregon Trail, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego and Number Munchers.
A glimpse of the history of technology included discussion about the language master, film projector, slide projector, as well as an iPhone. Additional conversations highlighted the use of computers as a reward and computer labs and current technology integration in the classroom.
They blackboarded, facebooked, UU-databased and weeblied. (I love to say-Weebly! It just sort of rolls off the tongue!) . Each student left a published Website, a first for most of them, and assigned tech-tasks to jump into before we gather the next time!
It was a full night ... but it was fun! I am so excited. This is an outstanding group and many of them are already teaching OUR CHILDREN! What more could WE ask for? Let me be the first to say ..."Thank you!"
